This summer Peterhof museum introduces free WIi-Fi zones in the Fountain Park. Now you can send “hello” to your friends at Grand Cascade, Marlinskaya alley, and at “Adam” and “Eve” fountains. The 6th annual Petrojazz festival on the beach of the Peter and Paul Fortress will take place from Jul 17-18. This year the festival focuses on funk, rhythm & blues and ethnic jazz improvisations, featuring stars from the UK, Finland, Turkey, Germany, Lithuania and Russia. In addition to the music festival's guests will enjoy Jazz tea party. |

10th International Festival Greater Hermitage Music, renowned for the concerts mixing classical and jazz music in the courtyards and halls of one of the world’s most famous museums, will be held from July 03-14. The festival opens on July 03 with a concert of Italian early music ensemble Laus Concentus in Big Italian Skylight Room. On July 08 classic guitar quartet Meridion from Sweden will play classical Spanish music in the halls with Spanish paintings. On July 11 Andrey Kondakov will play jazz-fusion concert with Grammy winner Randy Brecker in the Courtyard of the New Hermitage. On July 14 for Bastille Day the Great Courtyard of the Winter Palace will become the venue for French group Lo’Jo concert, mixing French chanson, African, Arab, Italian music, funky, jazz as well as street theater and circus performance. |

This year the International Festival “Imperial Gardens of Russia” celebrates the year of France in Russia. The theme of the festival is “French Garden on the Banks of the Neva”, so both the festival and the exhibition-contest will be dedicated to the history and traditions of French park and gardening art. For 9 days (from June 09-June 17) the Mikhailovsky garden will be divided into two sections with the first part featuring typical elements of French regular gardens of the 16th—18th centuries. The second part will focus on French traditions of gardening of the late 18th – early 21st centuries influenced by French impressionist art and contemporary urban French architecture. The festival is open 11:00 - 21:00, Sat, Sun 10:00 - 21:00. |
